On Unnecessary Distinctions

Ladies and Gentlemen,
You can stop making a distinction between books and ebooks. Aside from the format of the medium (and a choice to make at the time of purchase), the content is the same!

When the conversion from Tapes to CDs, nobody said that "people aren't listening to music anymore."  Yet just about weekly I hear it said on the evening news that kids aren't reading books anymore, and then they cut to a shot of the kid reading their Kindle or iPad.

Look, the physical format is different. The price is different (but they should be much cheaper...). But they're still books. Whether on cave paintings, stone tablets, papyrus scrolls, bound books, arranged electrons, or anything in between, they're still books.
